ILLUSION lll sleeps a total of six. There is a large V-berth with
hanging locker to port. The head with manual commode with wand shower is
to starboard. Further aft to starboard is the settee/dining area with settee
to port. The galley is equipped with a 3-burner propane stove with oven,
double deep stainless sink. Illusion lll has pleasing contemporary lines
with a simple, efficient rig. The spacious interior, with ample use of
teak, and the teak and holly sole provide warmth and comfort

Designed to give racing performance & cruising luxury
An adventure in design, combining the silk sailing performance of a racing
yacht with unbelievably comfortable cruising accommodations for 6 people.
The Citation 39 features a quickly driven hull design that carries her
beam well aft, graceful and fair of line.
She is sea kindly in her handling and with her large sailplane, sporting
897 sq. ft. with mainsail and of 17000lb displacement, she is very fast
and agile in any fleet.

Deck Layout
The deck area is very large and unobstructed. with cruising conveniences
like the anchor well In the foredeck and inboard chainplates built right
In. Five on deck hatches of smoked plexiglass and seven opening ports insure
adequate ventilation and an abundance of sunlight below.

Pulpit "Illusion"
The standard safety equipment on deck includes custom welded bow pulpit,
taff rail, life-line stanchions, and lifelines.
The cockpit of the Citation 39 Is designed to be the centre of on deck
activity with its generous seating arrangement, it will easily accommodate
eight people. The mainsheet track, which on many sloops is an obstruction
to cockpit traffic is mounted on the cabin top of the 39 with the mainsheet
winch located on the cockpit coaming aside the companionway for easy sail
trim from the cockpit. the jib sheet winches are located on the outer comings,
port ant starboard.
The wheel pedestal houses the engine controls as well as the steering
linkage for the conventional dual-sheaved steering mechanism. the pedestal
is also equipped with stainless steel wheel, binnacle mounted compass,
and teak drink rack.
Beneath the cockpit Seats are two large sail lockers, a propane locker,
and a lazarette beneath the helmsman saddle which also provides access
to the rudder post and quadrant. The cockpit is also equipped with an engine
access hatch In the sole aft of the companionway. two cockpit drains, two
alcoves In the coaming for winch handles, etc, and a manual bilge pump
with waterproof cover plate.
Interior Fitout
As you Enter through the companionway. the navigator's station is immediately
to port, fully equipped with flip top chart table, bookshelves, 12V cabin
lights and a full sized quarter berth with plenty of head and foot room.
Interior of "Illusion"
The galley Is located directly to starboard of the companionway ant is
complete in every respect, designed to make food preparation easier for
the sea chef with generous working space provided by the large U shaped
counter top. The galley is thoroughly equipped with everything you may
need: extra deep double stainless sinks with pressure water, 100 gallon
water reserve, 3 burner gimbaled propane stove with oven, double ice box
with counter top access, in-counter staples bin, drawer banks and below
counter stowage, dish locker, and a large pantry locker. Plenty of light
and ventilation in galley is provided by a hatch directly overhead, an
opening port to the cockpit, and a large fixed port to starboard.
The Main salon is quite spacious, well lit, and ventilated by two deck
hatches and two opening ports. To port, there is a full sized settee/berth
with shelf behind and a teak faced locker/drawer bank forward. To starboard
is a large L shaped settee that converts to a double berth. A stationary
mounted dining table is located In the centre of the salon, with folding
leaves that open for dining service to convert both settees into a deluxe
dining ensemble seating six.
Forpeak Lockers
Forward of the main bulkhead, the head compartment is situated to starboard
and is completely equipped for cruising with marine toilet with holding
tank. Stainless sink and shower with pressure water, medicine chest locker
with mirror, clothes hamper, and teak sole grate are all standard equipment.
The head compartment door also latches across the passageway to provide
privacy in the forward cabin.
The forward cabin is equipped with a hanging locker and bureau with
drawer bark to port, another bureau to starboard, and a large V birth forward.
There is plenty or headroom with the cabin trunk carried well forward and
the forward cabin has a teak hatch and two opening ports, providing light
and air circulation.
